The State Industries Promotion Corporation of Tamil Nadu (SIPCOT), Limited is an institution owned by the government of Tamil Nadu and is intended as a catalyst for the development of small, medium and large scale industries in Tamil Nadu. It was established in 1972.
SIPCOT has established industrial complexes in 16 areas, according to the SIPCOT webpage. These include Bargur, Irungattukottai, Pudukkottai, Cheyyar, Manamadurai, Ranipet, Cuddalore, Nilakkottai, Siruseri, Gangaikondan, Oragadam, Sriperumpudur, Gummidipoondi, Perundurai, Thoothukudi, Hosur.
A new SIPCOT is about to be established in Dharmapuri soon.
